Petroleum Coke manufactured by delayed coking of residues obtained from crude oil distillation units of Oil Refineries is called Green or Raw Petroleum Coke. The said Green or Raw Petroleum Coke calcined at a temperature 1200°C to 1300°C is known as Calcined Petroleum Coke.
Calcined Petroleum Coke is extensively used for making Anodes for electrolysis process by the Aluminium Industries. It is also used as Carburiser in the Steel Plants specially those who are making High Grade Steel, Foundries, TiO2 industry etc.
